RACE OVERVIEW
We are sponsoring the annual Colin Lewis Grand Prix hosted by Mid Devon Cycling Club at the Torbay Velopark on Sat, 7th May 2022.
The event is to celebrate the career of Colin Lewis – Olympian, Tour de France cyclist, British Pro Road Race Champion and Mid Devon President.
Colin Lewis was a top British professional in the 1960s and 1970s before retiring from professional racing in 1975. In 1970 Colin moved to team Holdsworth and would remain with them through to his last professional season in 1974. Lewis had 250 victories, 38 professional, including the Golden Wheel Trophy and the Linz am Rhine. Sadly Colin passed away on 4 March 2022, at the age of 79.
